Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf reviewed the key efforts of the General Administration for Strategic Planning and Policies during the first quarter of the 2026/2027 fiscal year.

The efforts focused on strengthening institutional planning, monitoring performance indicators, updating government platforms with projects and targets, and contributing to the preparation of the ministry’s strategic plan in coordination with its various departments and affiliated entities.

Investment Plan Adjustments for 2026/2027

As part of the adjustments to the investment plan for the 2026/2027 fiscal year, the administration entered the plan’s projects into the integrated investment planning platform operated by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.

A total of 23 requests were submitted as part of the process, in addition to entering projects expected to be completed during the current fiscal year.

The updates are intended to support the monitoring of investment projects and maintain updated information on implementation and targets.

Monitoring Performance Indicators

The administration also prepared a matrix covering quarterly performance achievements for the 2025/2026 fiscal year.

The matrix included the results of all four quarters, as well as the geographical distribution of achievements, while linking the results to various national strategies and development frameworks.

These included Egypt Vision 2030, the government’s new program titled “Develop to Build a Sustainable Future,” and the strategic plan of the Ministry of Awqaf.

The performance matrix covered the ministry’s headquarters, the Preachers’ Hospital, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, and the Egyptian Awqaf Authority.

Monitoring 132 Performance Indicators

The administration monitored monthly performance targets during July, August and September of the 2026/2027 fiscal year.

The monitoring process covered a total of 132 indicators for the ministry’s central administrations and affiliated entities, in accordance with the directives of the competent authority.

The indicators covered various sectors and departments within the Ministry of Awqaf.

Monitoring Regional Directorate Projects

As part of the national projects framework, spending on projects implemented by the ministry’s regional directorates was entered into the national projects monitoring platform affiliated with the Cabinet.

The administration coordinated with the relevant departments and entities while also following up with teams in the regional directorates responsible for updating workforce-related data.

Monitoring National Population and Development Strategies

The administration also followed up on the national platform for monitoring population and development strategies as part of the health and population framework.

Achievements for 47 indicators were entered in cooperation with the Central Administration for Daawa Affairs.

These indicators were distributed across four main areas.

Media and Communication

The media and communication component included 18 indicators as part of the national strategy monitoring framework.

Investment in People

The investment in people component included 12 indicators, focusing on targets related to human development.

Supporting the Role of Women

The component related to supporting the role of women included 3 indicators.

Education and Learning

The education and learning component included 14 indicators for monitoring achievements and implementation targets.

Participation in Preparing the Ministry’s Strategic Plan

As part of the preparation of the Ministry of Awqaf’s strategic plan, the General Administration for Strategic Planning and Policies participated in coordination meetings between the ministry and the Information and Decision Support Center.

The meetings were held under the protocol signed between the two sides and focused on supporting an integrated framework for strategic planning and performance monitoring.

The efforts also aim to connect implementation targets with the country’s national strategies and plans, providing a structured framework for monitoring progress and linking operational plans with defined performance indicators.
