Judgment Day is one of the most feared events, where everyone witnesses its immense horrors, as mentioned in the Quran: "Every soul shall taste death. And you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]" [Al-Imran: 185].
Dr. Ali Gomaa, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, explained that three practices help believers secure safety from the great terror of the Day of Judgment:
1. Frequent prayers on the Prophet: Bringing blessings and closeness to God.
2. Constant remembrance of God: Including glorification, praise, Quran recitation, and prayer, as God says: "Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest."
3. Regular supplication: Asking God to relieve believers from the horrors of Judgment Day and forgive them, using authentic prayers from the Quran and Sunnah, such as: "Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
Al-Azhar Fatwa warned against the so-called "Throne Supplication" circulating online, emphasizing it is fabricated and should not be used, as authentic Quranic and Sunnah supplications suffice for safety and peace of mind.
