Morning Azkar are the soul’s awakening — a sacred connection between the believer and his Lord at the beginning of the day. They were prescribed by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a fortress of protection and a source of serenity for every Muslim who seeks nearness to Allah.

Among the most powerful morning supplications is Ayat al-Kursi, which shields one from evil whispers, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas for complete protection. The Prophet’s daily invocations — such as “We have entered a new morning and with it all dominion belongs to Allah…” and “I am pleased with Allah as my Lord…” — bring light and calmness to the heart.

According to Sheikh Ahmad Mamdouh from Dar Al-Ifta, the time for Morning Azkar extends from midnight until noon, with the most blessed period being after Fajr prayer until sunrise, when the soul is most receptive and the blessings are multiplied.

Morning Azkar carry immense virtues — they open the doors of goodness, preserve the believer from harm, increase sustenance, and fill the heart with tranquility and faith.

Do not neglect them, for they are nourishment for the soul and a fortress for your spirit; whoever begins his day with remembrance lives under Allah’s care and protection.
