Dr. Nazeer Mohamed Eyad – Grand Mufti explained that wiping the neck during wudu is a matter of scholarly difference. It is valid for those who do it according to certain opinions, and those who do not, also perform a correct wudu. This matter should not cause division among Muslims.
Talking During Wudu
Talking without necessity during wudu is discouraged according to different schools:
Hanafis: part of adab (etiquette).
Malikis: disliked.
Shafi'is and Hanbalis: generally discouraged but not strictly forbidden.
Talking for necessity is allowed.
Washing the Face with Kohl
When wearing kohl, the face, including eyebrows, eyelids, and lashes, must be washed during wudu. This ensures that the wudu is valid, based on the Quran [Al-Ma’idah:6] and Sunnah. Prayer is invalid without properly washing the entire face, including eyelids.
