The Al-Azhar Global Center for Fatwa stated that it is recommended for Muslims to engage in Tasbih after finishing Witr prayer, following the practice of the Prophet ﷺ, saying: “Glory be to the Sovereign, the Holy, three times,” raising the voice in adherence to the Sunnah.
The center explained that although no specific supplication has been prescribed after Witr, each Muslim may pray for their needs and for goodness in this world and the Hereafter. Scholars also recommended a set of prayers, including asking for guidance, well-being, protection from worldly afflictions, success in acts of worship, and protection from evil.

Some notable recommended supplications include:

Asking Allah for guidance, well-being, blessings in provision, protection from worldly trials, and that Paradise becomes the final abode.

Praying for deceased Muslims for forgiveness, mercy, elevated ranks, and protection from the fire, alongside mercy and forgiveness for all Muslims.

Comprehensive prayers seeking all good in this life and the next, protection from all evil, love for good deeds, and attachment to the values of faith.

Regarding Isha prayer, Sheikh Mahmoud Shalaby stated that the Sunnah before Witr consists of two rak‘ahs. It is permissible to perform only Isha and Witr without the two Sunnah rak‘ahs, although missing the Sunnah sacrifices its reward but carries no penalty. He added that it is preferable to perform the two Sunnah rak‘ahs to fully benefit from the Sunnah and obtain the complete reward.
